Brennan McElhone is pragmatic litigator with a focus on serving families. He centers his practice on providing peace of mind and empathetic counsel to his clients, whether in litigation or negotiation.
Raised in Rome, Georgia, Brennan attended the University of Virginia and its Batten School of Leadership and Public Policy. After graduating in 2016, he worked overseas before returning to the U.S. to turn his focus to the law. He graduated from Mercer University’s School of Law in 2020, and that same year he was admitted to practice law in Georgia.
Following his admission to the Bar, Brennan started his legal career as a domestic violence prosecutor in the Cordele Judicial Circuit District Attorney’s Office. In that role, he gained extensive experience guiding families in crisis, and as a prosecutor, Brennan successfully brought over ten felony cases to jury verdict. After leaving his post in rural Georgia, Brennan relocated to Atlanta in 2023 and turned his focus to civil litigation, gravitating to family law and Eittreim Martin Cutler in the beginning of 2024.
Brennan served as a representative for the Young Lawyer’s Division of the State Bar of Georgia from 2021 -2023, has been published in the YLD Review on the topic of client counseling, has spoken at several continuing legal education seminars on the criminal law, evidence, and the effects of true crime media on litigation, and he received the YLD’s Award of Achievement in 2023.
Outside of court, he is a runner and musician.
